Testimonials of the awesomeness of pitbulls
...one day I was in a Food Lion parking lot, and these people had these cute little pups...I looked over and saw this dirty, sad eyed, wrinkly little dog and it was an instant decision. I had to have her...I picked her up out of the kennel and she wrapped her paws around me and held on so tight...I found Winnie when I was severely depressed and suicidal, and with getting her I couldn't just lie in bed all day... She had to get to vet appointments so, even though I was home bound from my battle with agoraphobia, I had to get her to those appointments to keep her safe...when my marriage almost ended, Winnie was the only source of unconditional love I had, and her love helped me love me. Winnie saved me just by being this goofy, velcro puppy...I don't think I could ever find another like her, but if I ever have to try, it'll be with another pittie." -Samantha & Winnie
"Tink was a spur of the moment adoption during Black Friday. My fiancé and I went to PetSmart in New Mexico to pick up some food...sitting outside was Tink. She was a part of the local animal shelter and they were having a “half-off” adoption day. She immediately came up to us for belly rubs. That day I truly fell in love with the pitt breed...We have had Tink going on 9 years now and that spur of the moment decision was the best decision (well besides marrying my husband) we made. My favorite quirks about her is doing a little dance when it’s time for breakfast or dinner, sleeping upside down whenever possible, snoring as loud as she can, being scared of flies, and always stealing my bed pillow and claiming it for herself. Because of Tink, I started fostering to help more dogs in need. Hands down, the best dogs I have fostered are pitt mixes. I wish people would be as loving and caring as Tink and truly see how much pitt mixes can make a difference in people’s lives. She has truly changed mine for the better." -Kelsey, Griff, & Tink
